Ham, Rice, and Broccoli Gratin

  • Diced ham: 375ml (1 ½ cups)
  • Cooked rice: 1 liter (4 cups) or 500ml (2 cups uncooked)
  • 1 broccoli, cut into small florets
  • Light Alfredo sauce: 250ml (1 cup)
  • Mild light Cheddar from Fromagerie L’Ancêtre, grated: 180ml (3/4 cup)
  • Also needed: 1 chopped onion


  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. In a large skillet, heat a little olive oil over medium heat. Cook the diced ham and onion for 3 to 4 minutes.
  3. In a large baking dish, mix the ham with the onion, cooked rice, broccoli, and Alfredo sauce. Season with salt and pepper. Top with grated cheddar.
  4. Cover the dish with aluminum foil. Bake in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
  5. Remove the aluminum foil. Broil for 2 to 3 minutes until the cheese is golden brown.
