We at La Fromagerie L’Ancêtre invite you to stop by our two shops, where you can find and sample all our organic cheeses and butters. So don’t be shy!
Our main shop is at our cheese dairy at the foot of Bécancour’s Laviolette Bridge.
As well as Quebec’s only daily fresh organic cheese curds, you’ll find every cheese and butter we make along with lots more organic and local products. It’s also the only place where you can taste our homestyle soft ice cream (ingredients: organic pasteurized milk, organic cane sugar, organic pasteurized cream, organic MEC3 base, and organic vanilla extract) along with hard ice cream and craft sorbet made with ripe-picked fruits and berries. It’s an indulgence that’s actually contain 60 to 80 percent fruit.
We serve up laid-back healthy meals you can eat outside on the terrace when the weather is good.

Our cheese shop in Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pérade has been open since May 13 near our ripening rooms, where we put the finishing touches on our famous Baluchon. As well as Quebec’s only daily fresh organic cheese curds, you’ll find all our cheeses (including Baluchon) and butters along with lots more organic and local products.
