A new cheese is joining the L’Ancêtre lineup: our Organic Orange Cheddar.

Inspired by our Medium Cheddar, aged 6 months, our new orange cheddar offers the same rich, balanced flavour you know, with a touch of natural colour from organic annatto, a plant-based colouring.

Like all our cheddars available in the 325 g format, it is made in Québec with unpasteurized organic milk from pasture-raised cows certified grass-fed.

It is also naturally lactose-free thanks to the aging process and contains only the essential ingredients for an authentic cheese: organic unpasteurized milk, salt, organic annatto, bacterial culture and microbial enzyme.

Its smooth, slightly velvety texture reveals a delicate salty note and a rich finish with hints of nuts and butter. Delicious on its own as a snack, it also melts beautifully in grilled cheese sandwiches, burgers, nachos and your favourite baked dishes.

Where to find it

Our new Organic Orange Cheddar will gradually become available across Canada over the coming weeks.

In addition to our Bécancour, Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pérade and Marché Godefroy stores, it will also be available through our online store, which ships to Québec and Ontario, as well as at select retailers outside Québec, including Whole Foods Market and Nature’s Fare Markets.
