Organic Farming Regulations

In Canada, only certified producers can use the term “organic.” Producers of organic products must meet precise and strict specifications drafted by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and managed by certification bodies such as Québec Vrai (OCQV).

Strict Certification

L’Ancêtre Cheese Factory has a FSSC 22000 certification, recognized by the GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) and all our products are certified organic by Québec Vrai and Organic Canada. These organizations regularly inspect our premises and production methods to make sure that all of our products comply with all requirements.
